Genuine Affiliate Marketing Secrets
As promised here are some of my own personal affiliate marketing secrets, ones I use myself, and many I have learned during my membership of the wealthy affiliate university. enjoy and more importantly TAKE ACTION. 1. Don’t sell “make money” products on clickbank:
It is very tempting when you start out in the affiliate marketing industry to be seduced by the high commission and instant approval in the clickbank marketplace (clickbank.com for those who are not familiar with this site).
Whilst there are many products you can sell profitably, I would advise you to steer clear of the make money products on the site for two reasons.
1. The competition in this sector is very high, as most newbies instantly pounce on this as they perceive it to be a popular area. However its just not worth it there are much easier niches you can and should target.
2. you can buy through your own link, and so will a lot of your customers. did you know you can buy clickbank products through your own affiliate link saving you 50 to 75%of the purchase price, yes? well so do your customers, and even if they see your recommendation of a product you may still not get the comission as they end up buying through their own link.
Yes I know it’s not fair or ethical but it happens, and in the make money niche your prospect is much more likely to be computer literate enough to figure this out and rob you of your commission.
2. when you choose a product ask for a referral copy or buy it:
If you choose to sell information products choose a niche from one of the many other categories. I have found success in the green products for example, save energy, recondition batteries, build solar panels niches, and the health and education niche, I even sold a set of chicken coop plans.
When choosing a product to represent you must see the product yourself. ask for a free or referral copy, just send the product owner an email telling them you plan to sell their product and ask them for a copy so you can more effectively write about it. Most will give you a copy, but if they don’t you could always buy one through your own link or move on to the next one.
Never sell a clickbank product without seeing it first. if it turns out to be rubbish the refund rate could kill your profits stone dead.
One last point seeing the product could allow you to write a short bonus report you can offer as an incentive to people who purchase through your link.
