Advertisers are Making a Bundle; Are You? FMCN, IPG, MWW, OMC, VISN, and VCLK
The following six companies are in the Services sector in the Advertising Agencies industry. some are in traditional advertising like print, billboards and television and all are in some way working in online advertising. Ad revenues have re-emerged from the ‘great depression’ and as retailers and services grow, so too will Ad dollars.
Focus Media Holding (FMCN) provides Internet advertising in China. FMCN has y-o-y revenue growth of 22% and y-o-y EPS growth of a whopping 221%. No short sellers and a 34% gross margin makes FMCN a ‘watch closely’ stock. FMCN jumped from $15 July to $24 this month.
Interpublic Group (IPG) was trading at $7 in July and is now trading near the $11 range. Nice up-trend. IPG provides Ads in all media. Y-o-y EPS and revenues are both double digit gains.
Monster Worldwide (MWW) was trading at $10 in late Aug and is pushing $20 today. That’s 100% in 10-weeks. Remarkable. Yep, this is the Monster that operates a network of Websites that connect employers and jobseekers and is supported by advertisers. as the recovery strengthens…
Omnicom Group (OMC) was trading below $34 in July and is currently trading in the $45 range. OMC has a P/E of 17 and very, very stable earnings and revenues. OMC is involved in advertising in all medias and also has a large public relations operation.
VisionChina Media (VISN) has been struggling to find its range; between $3 and $5 in the last six months. the stock is currently trading at $3.75. while revenues are strong, EPS is a bit weak. VISN could be a ‘buy on the dips’ consideration. VISN provides an out-of-home advertising network using real-time mobile digital television broadcasts.
ValueClick (VCLK) has staged a classic, textbook rally from under $9 in Feb to $15.53 today. Very impressive. VCLK has a P/E of 16 with strong y-o-y revenue and EPS growth. VCLK operates in four segments: Media, Affiliate Marketing, Owned & Operated Websites, and Technology.
