Are People Always Different At Work Than They Are At Home?

I try not to change too much, but I find it hard to function at work-when I’m myself.

I know that I am different at work then I am at home, but I cannot say that is so for others. I know I do this because when I am at work I want to do my job and I dont want to talk and get distracted so I keep to myself and people think that I am very nice and shy, but at home I am more outgoing and kind of bitchy.

Usually that is the case. You do have to adapt to your surroundings. Behaviors can never be isolated from the context. At work, you have to conform because you might end up unemployed if you don’t do as they want. Usually, you can let your guard down at home more. Thus, you can say, “Feel at home.” In a work environment where you are encouraged to feel at ease, you are more likely to be how you are at home. Nonetheless, you’re still the same person no matter what you do.

of course. you’re in a completely different environment at work, with different expectations and pressures, so naturally you change your personality to adapt.

“Always?” That’s pretty absolute.
I always never use always or never. Nothing is absolute.
I’m the same in some respects and different about others.

Umm ya your right ! If i had to act myself at work i’d have to bring my 8.1 subwoofer speaker and everyone in the work would be dancing all day .
